At the end of the 20th century, there was a huge boom in communications, information technology and computer industry, which dominated various forms of science, literature and the arts, which had the greatest impact on many fields, including cultural and architectural heritage, where digital technologies provided many possibilities and solutions for historical documentation and re-simulate of destroyed architectural spaces through virtual reality technology, which helped spread the world heritage to become accessible to all.
We can say that virtual reality technology has recently been seen as a new approach to design, where experiments and research are conducted and directed to develop the architectural design process, such as displaying 3D buildings within the real environment and the possibility of touring within them, as well as displaying virtual archaeological buildings within the real historical site as a means of developing heritage knowledge of archaeological architectural features.
The research aims to clarify the role of virtual reality techniques in the design processes of historical interior spaces to complete archaeological details, and the research is based on studying visual perceptions of these spaces through virtual technology, and using the historical approach and applying it to the state of the space disappearing in question. The study also addresses the breakthrough in digital technology in this field and the most prominent global examples.
