هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى التعرف على مستوى انتشار الصدمات النفسية لدى عينة من الشباب السعودي في ضوء بعض المتغيرات الديموغرافية، والفروق في مستوى الصدمات النفسية وفقًا للنوع والعمر والحالة الاجتماعية والمهنة والدخل الشهري، وتكوّنت عينة الدراسة من (١٢٠٠) شابًّا وشابة من (٢٠-٤٠)سنة، تم استخدام الاستبيان الدولي للصدمات النفسية (ITQ) من إعداد (Cloitre et al., 2018)، ترجمة (Alyoubi & Elsayed, in press)، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى وجود مستوى متوسط في الصدمات النفسية لدى عينة الدراسة، وتوجد فروق في متوسطي درجات عينة الدراسة حول الصدمات النفسية كَكُل تعزى لمتغير النوع لصالح الإناث، كما لا توجد فروق في متوسط درجات عينة الدراسة حول اضطراب ما بعد الصدمة والدرجة الكلية للصدمات النفسية تعزى لمتغير العمر، بينما توجد فروق في اضطراب ما بعد الصدمة المعقد لصالح العمر الأقل، وتوجد فروق حول اضطراب ما بعد الصدمة المعقد والدرجة الكلية للصدمات النفسية تعزى لمتغير الحالة الاجتماعية لصالح غير المتزوجين والمطلقين، حيث توجد فروق حول اضطراب ما بعد الصدمة المعقد والدرجة الكلية للصدمات النفسية تعزى لمتغير المهنة لصالح الخريج الذي لا يعمل والطالب، بينما تبين أنه لا يوجد فروق في متوسط درجات عينة الدراسة في الصدمات النفسية كَكُل تعزى لمتغير منطقة السكن، وتوجد فروق في متوسط درجات عينة الدراسة تعزى لمتغير الدخل الشهري لصالح ذوي الدخل الأقل من ٥ آلاف ريال، وتبين أنه لا توجد فروق في اضطراب ما بعد الصدمة المعقد، وقدمت مجموعة من التوصيات، أهمها: إقامة مبادرات إرشادية ووقائية للمجتمع السعودي في التوعية بالصدمات النفسية وتأثيرها وعلاجها من قبل الجهات المتخصصة. The present study aimed to examine the prevalence of psychological trauma among Saudi young of certain demographic variables and the differences in the level of psychological trauma according to gender, age, marital status, occupation, and monthly income. The study sample consisted of 1,200 young men and women aged between 20 and 40. The International Trauma Questionnaire (ITQ) developed by Cloitre et al. (2018) was used, and the translation was conducted by the researchers. The study found a moderate level of psychological trauma among the sample. There were differences in the mean trauma scores across the sample as a whole attributable to the gender variable, favoring females. No differences were found in the mean scores related to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or the overall trauma score based on the age variable. However, differences were observed in complex PTSD, favoring the younger age group. There were differences in complex PTSD and the overall trauma score based on marital status, favoring single and divorced individuals. Additionally, differences were found in complex PTSD and the overall trauma score based on occupation, favoring unemployed graduates and students. No differences were found in the mean trauma scores across the sample as a whole based on the residential area variable. However, differences were found in the mean trauma scores based on monthly income, favoring those with an income below 5,000 SAR. No differences were found in complex PTSD. The study concluded with several recommendations, including the implementation of guidance and preventive initiatives to raise awareness of psychological trauma and its impact, and to promote treatment through specialized entities.
