Abstract

This study intends to explore the mediating role of self- efficacy on the influence of job embeddedness on hotels staff quit intention. A survey with a descriptive -analytical approach was implemented, and data were gathered through a self-administered questionnaire. A survey was carried out with a sample of 385 employees, selected from various departments across hotels in Sharm El Sheikh to ensure the representation of the sample.

The results of this study revealed that employees' job embeddedness and self- efficacy are the two primary factors that adversely influence the employees' intentions to leave and both job embeddedness and self-efficacy are negatively correlated with quit intention, with self-efficacy serving as a significant mediator. The results underscore the importance of enhancing organizational attachment and self-confidence to retain talent in the hospitality sector.

The study contributes to the theoretical understanding of turnover behavior and provides practical recommendations for hotel managers, emphasizing the importance of supportive work environments and training initiatives to strengthen employee self-efficacy and embeddedness.
