هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على خصائص المناخ المدرسي في المدارس ذات الأداء المرتفع والمنخفض. استخدم الباحثان المنهج الكيفي بأسلوب دراسة الحالة، التي تألفت من أربع مدارس تم اختيارها بصورة قصدية من خلال عدد من الإجراءات الدقيقة، بواقع مدرستين ذات أداء مرتفع، ومدرستين ذات أداء منخفض. تم جمع البيانات باستخدام أداتي الملاحظة والمقابلة، وحُللت البيانات باستخدام التحليل الموضوعي، وتوصلت النتائج إلى أن الانضباط المتمثل في المتابعة الجادة والمستمرة لجانبي التأخير والغياب للمعلمين والطلاب من أبرز خصائص المدارس ذات الأداء المرتفع بعكس المدارس ذات الأداء المنخفض. وأظهرت النتائج انخفاض ظاهرة التنمر في المدارس ذات الأداء المرتفع نظراً لوجود مجموعة من الإجراءات التي تتخذها إدارة المدرسة للحد من ظاهرة التنمر، ويرافق ذلك وجود مجموعة من قواعد السلامة الواضحة التي تنظم آلية تحركات الطلاب، والتعامل مع المشكلات السلوكية، الأمر الذي يجعل المدرسة أكثر أماناً، فيما وجد أن هناك قصور في هذه الجوانب في المدارس ذات الأداء المنخفض. This study aimed to examine the characteristics of the school climate in high- and low-performing schools in mathematics. The researchers employed a qualitative approach using a case study method, selecting four schools intentionally through rigorous procedures—two high-performing and two low-performing schools. Data were collected through observation and interviews, then analyzed using an objective analytical approach. The findings indicated that strict discipline, characterized by consistent and rigorous monitoring of tardiness and absenteeism among teachers and students, is a key feature of high-performing schools, in contrast to low-performing schools. Furthermore, the results revealed a lower incidence of bullying in high-performing schools, attributed to a set of proactive measures implemented by school administrations. These measures include clear safety regulations that govern student movements and the handling of behavioral issues, fostering a safer school environment. In contrast, deficiencies in these aspects were observed in low-performing schools.
