Abstract

This research aims to study the development of planning and design issues related to environmental management, which are of critical importance to users of pharmaceutical manufacturing tools and mechanisms in the company under study, as health and safety considerations for individuals and society are typically determined by international or national regulatory bodies. Through policies, rules, standards, and procedures that address how to monitor and measure the results of an environmental measure, it is essential to determine the success of environmental improvement processes or how existing pollutants interact with the company's expected emissions. To achieve the objectives of this research, a descriptive analytical approach was used for the practical framework. This study was based on two chapters. The first, entitled "General Framework of the Study," examined the problem, linked it to objectives and importance, and identified hypotheses. The second, entitled "Conceptual Framework," presented a proposed strategy for developing environmental management systems in the company under study. The final chapter, the applied study, was conducted. The researchers relied on a combination of inductive, deductive, and quantitative descriptive approaches. Using scientific research tools (the questionnaire), the data was analyzed using SPSS and then attempted to explain the relationship between environmental management systems and the economics of the pharmaceutical industry and test the study's hypotheses. One of the most important findings reached by the researchers is that sustainable development goals cannot be achieved without working and implementing environmental management systems. One of the most important recommendations is to develop a plan to change what is prevalent and inappropriate in the company's work.
