يتناول هذا البحث موضوع الحرف النسيجية في المملكة العربية السعودية والتي تعتبر أهم الحرف التراثية في المملكة العربية السعودية، نتيجة لأهميتها في إبراز الهوية الثقافية والتاريخية للمملكة العربية السعودية، وتعود ظهور الحرف النسيجية في المملكة إلى العصر الحجري الحديث حيث اكتشفت آثار في موقع حضارة المقر تبرهن على عودة وجود هذه الحرف في المملكة لنحو 9000 عام، ولقد تعددت أنواع الحرف النسيجية فمنها نسيج السدو ونسيج البشوت ونسيج السجاد والحصر ونسيج العقال والطواقي وغيرها من المنسوجات المتعددة، ولقد تأثرت هذه الحرف بالبيئة المحيطة سواء في المواد الخام المستخدمة أو الآلات وحتى في الزخارف والنقوش التي نقشت على المنسوجات، وقد تطورت الحرف النسيجية على مر الزمان، حتى عصرنا الحالي، الذي أخذ فيه الفنان يمزج بين الماضي وأصالته والحاضر وتطوره ليظهر ذلك في المنسوجات السعودية المعاصرة، ولقد حازت هذه الحرف على أهمية كبيرة سواء من الناحية الاقتصادية أو الاجتماعية أو التاريخية والثقافية خاصة وأنها تعتبر مرآة لتطور ذوق وثقافة وعادات وتقاليد المجتمع السعودي على مر العصور، غير أنه مع التطور التكنولوجي الحالي واجهت الحرف النسيجية بعض التحديات إلا أن المؤسسات الحكومية في المملكة تعمل جاهدة على مواجهة هذه التحديات.
This research deals with the subject of textiles fabric crafts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which are considered as the most important heritage crafts in the Kingdom, due to their importance in shedding the light on the cultural and historical identity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The emergence of textile crafts in the Kingdom dates back to the Neolithic era, where the ruins were discovered at the site of the Al-Maqar civilization, proving that these crafts dated to in the Kingdom for about 9000 years. The types of textile crafts have varied, including sadu textile, Bisht weaving, carpet and mat weaving, Agal and Taqi weaving, and other various textiles. These crafts have been influenced by the surrounding environment, whether in the raw materials used or the machines, and even in the decorations and engravings engraved on the textiles. Textile crafts have developed over time, until our current era, in which the artist began to blend the past and its authenticity with the present and its development to appear in contemporary Saudi textiles. However, with the current technological development, textile crafts have faced some challenges, but institutions The government in the Kingdom is working hard to meet these challenges.
