Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to develop primary stage pupils' EFL vocabulary learning through using augmented reality applications treatment proposed by the researcher. A pre-post vocabulary test was developed. The experiment lasted for two months in a governmental distinguished language school, Dakahlia Governorate. The study adopted the quasi-experimental design using two independent groups design. Two intact classes were selected randomly to represent the experimental and the control groups (N=60). The study results revealed that the mean score of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group on the vocabulary learning posttest. Finally, it was recommended that further research should be conducted related to using augmented reality applications for developing the vocabulary level of other EFL learners at other schools' levels and for developing different EFL skills.
