Abstract

The study aimed to "identify the relationship between levels of social interaction, emotional intelligence, and environmental behavior among primary school students. It examined the correlation between social interaction levels and environmental behavior and explored the relationship between emotional intelligence and environmental behavior among primary school students. A descriptive-correlational approach was used to test the study hypotheses, utilizing three tools: a social interaction scale for children, an illustrated emotional intelligence scale for children, and an illustrated environmental behavior scale for children. The study's results indicated a statistically significant correlation between the participants' scores on the emotional intelligence scale and their scores on the environmental behavior scale. It also found a statistically significant correlation between their scores on the social interaction scale and both the environmental behavior and emotional intelligence scales. Additionally, the study revealed statistically significant differences in the environmental behavior scale averages according to variations in social interaction levels and emotional intelligence. The study recommended raising parental awareness about the importance of social interaction and its relationship to emotional intelligence, environmental behavior, and social skills in children. It also suggested incorporating educational courses in colleges of education that address the relationship between social interaction, emotional intelligence, environmental behavior, and social skills. Furthermore, it recommended designing and offering interactive activities to train students in acquiring and applying emotional intelligence skills at this developmental stage.
