الملخص تعد دراسة المصطلحات المعمارية الآثرية على درجة كبيرة من الأهمية، خاصة من خلال كتب المصادر والوثائق، حيث يمكن من خلالها الكشف عن مصطلحات دارجة لدى أهل العصر من جهة، ولأهل الخبرة من المهندسين والبنائيين العارفين بأسماء المصطلحات التي تستخدم في العمارة والتشييد من جهة أخرى، والتي يمكن أن نطلق عليها "مصطلحات العصر"، وبدراسة هذه المصطلحات وتتبعها من خلال الوثائق فإنه يعطي صورة صادقة وأكثر واقعية عن المفهوم والغرض من الوحدات المعمارية المختلفة. ومن هذا المنطلق فإن هذه الورقة سوف تتناول مصطلح معماري جديد وهو "التنهة"، وقد صادف الباحثة هذا المصطلح المعماري في الكثير من الوثائق التي تنسب إلى القرنين 12-13ه/18-19م، كما تم ملاحظة ذكره لدى مؤرخي تلك الفترة، كالدمرداشي والجبرتي، الأمر الذي يوضح مدى أهمية وانتشار هذا المصطلح في تلك الفترات، وعلى الرغم من ذلك إلا أن أحد لم يقف على دراسته وتحديد طرزه؛ لذا فقد كان من الضروري تخصيص دراسة تعريفية وتوضيحية لهذا المصطلح المهم، مع دراسة وتحديد التخطيط والتكوين المعماري له، ومحاولة تأصيله، وتحديد فئة المنازل التي ضمت هذا العنصر، والوقوف على المنازل السكنية القائمة التي ضمت الوثيقة الخاصة بها مثل هذا العنصر، وقد تطلب ذلك نشر ودراسة أجزاء من وثائق لم تنشر من قبل، وإعادة نشر البعض الآخر.     Al-Tanha architecture in the 12-13th centuries AH / 18-19 AD, a documentary archaeological study Abstract The study of archaeological architectural terminology is of great importance, especially through resources and documents. Where it is possible to reveal the terms  (vernacular terminology)used by the people of the era on the one hand, and for the people of experience among the engineers and builders who know the names of the terms that are used in architecture and construction. On the other hand, which we can call "the terminology of the era", and by studying these Terminology and tracking it (to follow it) through the documents gives a true and more realistic picture of the concept and the purpose of different architectural units.From this point of view, this paper will deal with a new architectural term, which is "Al-Tanha".The researcher encountered this architectural term in many documents attributed to the 12-13 AH / 18-19 CE centuries. It was also noted by the historians of that period, such as al-Demardashi and al-Jabarti. Which shows the importance and prevalence of this term in those periods Despite that, no one has studied it and determined its model. So, it was necessary to allocate an introductory and explanatory study and try to root it and identify the category of houses that included this element. All along with studying the documents for each house as much as possible, this required the dissemination and study of parts of documents that had not been published before, and the re-publication / redeployed of others.
