Abstract

The study aimed to identity the ability of self – regulation to predict cognitive dissonance among students university and identity the relation between self – regulation and cognitive dissonance, and the level of self – regulation, cognitive dissonance among the sample, where the researcher used the scale of self – regulation and the scale of cognitive dissonance (both were prepared by the researcher , where there applied to the basic sample composed of (321) students of university. To valibati the hypotheses the researcher used the SPSS (statistical Package to Analysis and Statically and Process Data). The results revealed that there is negative relation between self – regulation and cognitive dissonance, and there are high of cognitive dissonance, low level of self – regulation. The results also revealed that the self – regulation can be predicated through scores of sample in cognitive dissonance.
