Abstract

Major events are defined as events that attract large numbers of visitors and lead to increased demand for tourism and hospitality services. Among the theories adopted in the research is the theory of indirect economic effects, which includes effects on tourism spending, investments in infrastructure, and social impacts on local communities. Mega events, such as festivals, international conferences, and major sporting events, are also important drivers of the tourism industry. These events have significant impacts on tourism in major cities, affecting visitor numbers, local economy, and infrastructure , also Mega events are also among the main drivers of the tourism industry, and they have significant impacts on the major cities that host them. These events include a wide range of events such as the Olympic Games, the FIFA World Cup, World Expos (Fourie & Santana-Gallego, 2011), and international festivals. These events provide huge opportunities for tourism and local economy development, but they also come with significant challenges that require effective management to ensure maximum benefit from these events (Shone, A., & Parry, B. 2013). Mega events such as the Olympic Games, the World Cup, and international exhibitions are among the events that have a significant impact on the major cities that host them. These events can lead to a significant increase in the number of tourists and boost the local economy (Müller, M. 2015). .
