Abstract

This research presents my vision of the future of lighting system design and explores the latest advancements in lighting technology, focusing not only on visible aspects of lighting but also on measuring the invisible dimensions of light effects. This concept is known as Human Centric Lighting (HCL),which encompasses various aspects such as comfort and well-being. HCL studies the psychological and physiological aspects of lighting effects to achieve the best possible use of light. This approach is evident in hospital systems, workplaces, smart cities, smart homes, and even shopping centers and educational organizations.
The aim of this research is to utilize lighting design studies and their findings to understand the invisible elements of user behavior, enabling us to envision future developments to meet user needs. To achieve this, research results on the psychological and physiological factors behind lighting were analyzed, and interviews and brainstorming sessions were conducted with individuals to understand their feelings and behavior, contributing to the development of the future vision.
The research findings confirm that the evolution of lighting systems goes beyond energy efficiency and reducing harmful emissions from lighting sources. Lighting will have a closer impact on emotions, feelings, performance, and biological activity. It will assist individuals in performing daily tasks much better than before. The results of the study, derived from interviews and questionnaires with a group of users, confirm that lighting has an effect on both user behavior and emotions. Many respondents expressed that they have unseen desires influenced by lighting that affect their behavior.
