Abstract

This article is talking about Sirens which were half bird half woman, as it discussed the origin and the different types of Sirens on the rocky islands. It discussed the music and the different melodies of the Sirens and how they target the sailors who passed by their place and play their attractive charm melody which made the sailors changed their way and took the risky road to discover out the source of these sounds and faced their deadly fate. Some scholars mixed Sirens with mermaids and others described them as El Naddah, which was in our Arabic stories that the lady who called the persons who passed by any source of water whatever was sea, canals and swamps, and also they target men as their curiosity was very high and they always choose the risky stories to show their daring. The main goals of Sirens is to lure men to their fortress to allow them to repopulate the Siren population. This entire scheme is called seduction. Their seductive powers only work on Males. Children, seniors, and homosexual males are all immune to their powers.
