The current research addresses the issue of the effect of structural efficiency of structural systems on form and function by identifying and understanding the relationship between structure, form, and function. Clarifying the concept of structural efficiency and the basic considerations for achieving it in structural systems to ensure the harmonization of structure, form and function in architecture is the research challenge at hand. Therefore, the research classifies structural systems according to their efficiency into (highly efficient structural systems - mid-efficient structural systems - low efficient structural systems). In order to explore the characteristics of each type, the research studies some buildings, each of which illustrates an example of the level of efficiency and how to achieve it through (efficiency of structural form and efficiency of materials usage) and the effect of each of them on the form and function of the building. Finally, the research discusses its most important conclusions.
تناول البحث دراسة تأثير الكفاءة الهيكلية للأنظمة الإنشائية على الشكل والوظيفة من خلال تحديد وفهم العلاقة بين الهيكل والشكل والوظيفة. إن توضيح مفهوم الكفاءة الهيكلية والإعتبارات الأساسية لتحقيقها في الأنظمة الإنشائية لضمان تناغم الهيكل والشكل والوظيفة في الهندسة المعمارية هو التحدي البحثي المطروح. ولذلك قام البحث بتصنيف الأنظمة الإنشائية حسب كفاءتها إلى (أنظمة إنشائية عالية الكفاءة – أنظمة إنشائية متوسطة الكفاءة – أنظمة إنشائية منخفضة الكفاءة). وللتعرف على خصائص كل نوع قام البحث بدراسة بعض المباني، حيث يوضح كل منها مثالاً على مستوى الكفاءة وكيفية تحقيقها من خلال (كفاءة الشكل الإنشائي وكفاءة استخدام المواد) وتأثير كل منها على شكل ووظيفة المبنى. وأخيراً يناقش البحث أهم النتائج التي توصل إليها
