Abstract

The organization is the most fertile field to know the extent of the success or failure of communication within its members as it is considered a social process, and therefore the internal or external communication of the members of the organization, or what we know about contacting organizations, is the backbone of the establishment and continuity of organizations. It is not possible to separate the organization and its members' communication with each other.
The research aimed to identify the role of the use of communication technology in the extent of improving and increasing the job performance of employees of companies affiliated with the petroleum sector, as well as to identify the extent to which social networking sites contribute to the work environment in increasing social interaction between employees of companies affiliated with the petroleum sector.
In this research, the researchers relied on the descriptive analytical approach in order to reach the objectives of the study, using the statistical analysis of the study tool and the data collected from the study sample, which consisted of (120) male and female employees of one of the petroleum sectors companies.
The researchers concluded: There is a statistically significant relationship between the use of information and communication technology and the social interaction of employees of the companies affiliated with the petroleum sector, as well as the existence of a statistically significant relationship between the use of technology and communications and the improvement of the work environment for employees of the companies affiliated with the petroleum sector. The study found a statistically significant relationship between improving the job environment and social interaction among workers in companies affiliated with the petroleum sector.
The researchers recommended the need to pay attention to the role of human resources and develop their skills in the use of information and communication technology on a continuous basis, and to open permanent channels of communication between employees and managers and to work on solving the problems facing some employees in dealing with various means of technology, as well as providing and preparing programs and practical courses periodically from Informing employees of the latest developments in technology and effective dealing with various means of technology in order to keep pace with developed countries.
