Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at Mallawi Agriculture Research Station, Minia Governorate, Egypt for the two successive seasons of 2021/ 2022 and 2022/ 2023, to examine the effect of fertilization (100%NPK, 80 % NPK & EM applied at (5L fed -1), 80 % NPK & compost 5 ton fed-1 and 80 % NPK & Mixture of EM and compost) on wheat grown in clay soil under three cultivation methods, i.e. broad casting or ridges or raised beds. The experiment was laid out in a split plot design with three replicates. Water productivity and water use efficiency values were improved under raised bed method compared with the values with the other two methods in the both seasons. The highest averages of plant height (cm). grain yield (ton fed-1), straw (ton fed-1), 1000 grain and protein% in the two successive seasons, were detected from planting wheat on raised bed at combined 80% NPK+ mix (EM and compost). Nutrition contents in wheat grain and total uptake kg fed-1 were increased with the same treatment.
