تعد إدارة المعرفة من التطورات الفکرية المعاصرة، کما تعد تکنولوجيا المعلومات عصب الإتصالات الحديثة، والإدارة الفاعلة للمعرفة هي الإستثمار الأمثل لرأس مالها الفکري ضمن نظام يتناول المعرفة على أساس نظام للإتصالات الحديثة المرتبطة بالشبکة المعلوماتية. ومن ثم هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تناول إدارة المعرفة من المنظور المعلوماتي وصفاً وتحليلاً، وکذلک معرفة العلاقة بين إدارة المعرفة ورأس المال الفکري، حيث يعد الإستثمار في رأس المال الفکري من أهم القضايا الحالية التي تعنى بها المجتمعات على إختلاف أنظمتها ومستويات نموها، حيث ثبت أن العنصر البشري هو المؤثر الرئيس في جميع مکونات التنمية.
