The meaning of proverbs in any language is far beyond the sum of the semantics of the words it constitutes, because it itself is a synthesis of language and culture, it is like a mirror, which can reflect the cultural characteristics and historical stories of a nation, Folklore and customs. Therefore, translating proverbs is a great challenge for translators. How to deal with cultural factors in proverbs during translation has always been a hot topic and difficulty in translation. As a translator, I have faced this problem myself. This article summarizes how to deal with the answer to the translation of proverbs through personal experience and analysis of some Chinese proverbs and their translation methods.
