Abstract

Narrative theory is one of the most recent theories in the field of translation studies, and the beginning of the use of this theory in translation studies goes back to Mona Baker. The main features of this theory became clear in Baker's book "Translation and Conflict, A Narrative Account , published in 2006.
In this paper we do not seek to present an applied study on this theory, but rather we try to provide a reading of the broad lines of it through the works of Mona Baker to try to answer several questions about the Baker's reasons for choosing this theory, its concept of narration, ad narration from social perspective, the most important features of this theory, the mechanisms of its application,Difficulties faced by researchers who take narrative theory as a methodology for their studies, and the concept of framing and re-framing in translation, and framing textual, para-textual mechanisms.
