The study aims to identify the applications of Smart mobile, which began to spread in libraries and information centers , these applications can be used in several fields, such as providing reference service through SMS , farther more some libraries avail their catalogues and electronic sites via smart phones. , also the study highlights some of projects in Arab and foreign countries, which have been using those applications.
Finally the researcher is conducting an experiment to provide some library services inside the library of ‘‘ Faculty of Medicine – Menofia University ‘‘ by using ‗WhatsApp ‗ application , and the study provides some proposals that contribute to increasing the benefits of those technology in libraries and information centers.
