The quantityof exports of Egyptian food industry is Limited as compared to the quantity of the production of fresh horticultural crops(Especially fruits and vegetables) : It represents 12.5 % of the total Egyptian exports ( excluding petroleum) in 2012. The value of Egyptian exports of food industry is growing at a rate of 22.2 % , compared to the value of imports of processed food industries which amounted to 47.9 % during the period (2009-2012 ). The trade deficit of Food Industries in Egypt increased from about 14.55 in 2010, a period before the events of the January 25 revolution, to about 60.7% in 2012 after the events of January 25 as a result of the impact on the industrial sector from which the food industries and due to the political instability during the last period as a result of the decline of the national economy and the stopping of many factories of production. Relating to the Indicators of foreign trade to some food industries of fruits and vegetables, Germany is the most important market for Egyptian onion powder by about 38% , the market share is about 24.2%, Competitiveness price is estimated at 0.57 which is average location where it faces a strong competition France and China exports. For the Egyptian frozen peas and beans exports, France is one of the most important market by about 7.5% , Where the market share is estimated at 5.5%, Competitiveness price is estimated at 0.13 which is weak and reflects low market share it faces a strong competition from Spain and Belgium exports in the French market. For the Egyptian Dried grapes, Morocco is the most important market by about 66.4% , The market share is estimated at 3.5%, Competitiveness price is estimated at 0.05 which is very weak it faces a strong competition from China , Turkey and India exports. For Egyptian orange juice, Russian Federation is one of the most important markets by about 7.3%, Where the market share is estimated at 0.4%, Although the price competitiveness index reached the value one , which refers to it as the best in terms of price competitiveness within the market. Relating to the results and recommendations we can raise the following: 1- Agro industry sector realized reasonable growth rates. The amount of exports of food industries covered about 50% of the quantity of imports, which encourage the increased of the investment in this sector. 2- The results indicated that there was no price competitive advantage for Egyptian exports of frozen beans and peas in France market, and Egyptian exports of dried grapes in Morocco market which requires the review of export prices for these crops. 3- Orange juice exported to the Russian market has a price competitive advantage, However the quantities exported from this product don't excel 0.4% of the quantities imported by the Russian market from this product, which calls for implementing detailed studies on this market.
