The study aims to identify the impact of strategic planning in reducing the crises faced by the tourism and hotel sectors, and to identify the importance of strategic planning and its dimensions in addition to the elements of effective strategic planning, and the factors that must be taken care of by the administration that help in mitigating the effects of crises, with the aim of minimizing Among the risks facing the tourism sector in general, and tourism and hotel establishments in particular. The results of the study showed that strategic planning in the tourism and hotel establishments contributes to reducing potential problems. The low rate of employee participation in strategic planning is considered an obstacle to solving problems, as well as reveals strengths and weaknesses in the facility. And that strategic planning provides information useful in decision-making and solving problems and increases the clarity of workers' vision in crisis management. The results of the study also revealed that the application of strategic planning needs workers with appropriate scientific qualifications and sufficient experience in the field of strategic planning. The study recommended several recommendations, the most important of which were: Work to prepare a strategic plan to confront crises in general and the new Corona virus pandemic in particular, and that workers should be informed and involved in developing the strategic plan. The necessity for tourism and hotel establishments to adopt strategic planning in their business, especially long-term. And must refer the development of the strategic plan to employees with competence and long experience, provided that the strategic plans include programs, systems and clear policies for crisis management, and that planning is done in advance and not when crises are discovered in the facilities.
