This work was conducted to study the effect of four sowing dates started on
8'h Nov. with 30 days intervals and three drip irrigation levels i.e. 80, 100 and 120 %
Ep' on cv. Paulista of snap bean growth, yield and pod quality. It was carried out al
shark el-owlnat region, southern Egypt during two gr~wing seasons at 200012001 and
200112002. On (he second sowing dale ( a!!! December) where plants were grown under low
lunneles. growth parameters, minerals uptake (N,::> and K) and yield components
and attributes were significantly increased, but Ihe ,i! harvesl time was Significantly
decreased. Increasing water irrigation quantity from aO% up to 120% Ep gave significant
increase in growth characters ( plan I height, number of leaves and branches and dry
weight of leaves and branches ) , minerals uptake, yield components ( number of
pods I plant , pod weight I plant, early Yield and total yield) and pod quality i.e. pod
diameter, length and weight. Interaction between SOwing date and irrigation lovel had signilicant effect on all
characters of this study. High irnqauon level under second sowing date gave
signlncant increase in plant growth and minerals uptake as well as yield characters
and earlier production
