The study mainly aimed to determine the degree of knowledge of date palm farmers about the technical recommendations for the date palm crop, and to identify the sources of knowledge of date palm farmers for the technical recommendations related to the date palm crop, and to identify the problems facing date palm farmers, and their proposals to solve them and achieve the objectives of the study. A regular random sample of 370 farmers out of the total number of farmers, which numbered 3,704 From date palms in Bahariya Oasis according to the Craigsey and Morgan equation, 10% of the total number of date palm growers. The data needed for this study were collected during the period from June to July of 2021 through a personal interview of the respondents. Several statistical methods were used: Tabular display with frequencies and percentages, in addition to the arithmetic mean and standard deviation. The data for this study were analyzed by computer using the statistical software package for social sciences (spss). The most important results of the research were as follows: 1- With regard to the level of knowledge in the advancement of the date palm crop, the results of the study showed that the average knowledge score is 1,39 degrees, or 69,8%, and that 21,62% of the respondents fall into the category of people with low knowledge, And that 28,11% fall into the category of people with medium knowledge, and 50,27 % of them fall into the category of people with high knowledge. 2-With regard to sources of knowledge, the results showed that non-governmental extension sources are the ones from which farmers derive their information about technical recommendations for the advancement of the date palm crop. 3-The most important  problems facing date palm growers are: the ineffectiveness of agricultural extension, the spread of pests, the high prices of crop transportation, the scarcity of marketing outlets and the exploitation of traders, the unavailability of manpower and training, dependence on traditional methods of collection, difficulty in marketing the crop, a decrease in Acre productivity, lack of seedlings at reasonable prices, lack of guidance seminars in promoting the date palm crop, lack of modern means or transportation to transport the crop, most of the existing varieties are of low quality and low production.
