إبراهيم بن عبد الله الربيش اللغويات التطبيقية، تعليم اللغة العربية، جامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود الإسلامية ، الرياض، المملکة العربية السعودية. البريد الإلکتروني:  ialrbaish@imamu.edu.sa   الملخــص: يتناول هذا البحث عملية تبسيط المواد القرائية (النصوص التعليمية) المستعملة في مقررات وبرامج تعليم اللغة العربية بصفتها لغة ثانية، وذلک من خلال عرض نظري علمي مفصل حول أهم القضايا المتعلقة بمفهوم التبسيط من حيث التعريف بالمفهوم، وعرض آراء المهتمين والمختصين بتعليم اللغات وموقفهم من عملية التبسيط، والأرکان التي تقوم عليها عملية تبسيط النص والغرض من ذلک، مع عرض مفصل للخطوات التي يجب مراعاتها عند الشروع في عملية تبسيط النص التعليمي، وأهم أساليب التبسيط المتبعة في النصوص القرائية المبسّطة، مع عرض نموذج لأحد النصوص التعليمية التي تم تبسيطها لمتعلمي اللغة العربية الناطقين بغيرها في المستوى المبتدئ، ودراسته دراسة تحليلية وتطبيقية على عينة من طلاب معهد تعليم اللغة العربية بجامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود بالرياض؛ حيث أسفرت التجربة عن قيمة المواد التعليمية المبسّطة وحاجة متعلمي اللغة العربية إليها في المستويات المبتدئة، من أجل تمکينهم من فهم اللغة والتواصل الإيجابي معها، وإکسابهم قدرًا کبيرا من الثقة في قدراتهم، وتعزيز الدافعية تجاهها في هذه المرحلة المهمة.     Simplifying the reading Material of Arabic Language Courses  designed for Non- Arabic Speakers in the Elementary Level An applied critical Study By: Ibrahim Bin Abdullah Al- Rubaish Majored in Applied Linguistics and Arabic Language Teaching Imam Mohammed Bin Saud University Riyadh, K.S.A.   Abstract         This research demonstrates the process of simplifying the reading material (educational texts) used in the courses and programs of teaching Arabic as a second language. The research runs through a detailed scientific and theoretical presentation handling the most important issues related to the concept of simplification; defining the concept, displaying the views of both the people interested in the process of teaching languages and the specialists. The discussion highlights the stance of those categories regarding the process of simplification, the pillars on which the process of simplifying the text is based and its purpose. Moreover, the researcher introduces a detailed presentation of the due steps to be considered at the very beginning of the process of simplifying an educational text as well as the most important simplification methods utilized in simplified reading texts. The research has also demonstrated a sample of educational texts that have been simplified for non- Arabic speakers in their elementary level. The selected text has gone through an analytical and applied study attended by a sample of students from the Institute of Arabic Language Teaching from Imam Muhammad Bin Saud University in Riyadh. The experiment has emphasized the value of simplified educational material and uncovered the need of non- Arabic language speakers for such simplification in their elementary levels to help them understand the language and communicate positively. Finally, the simplified material would help those learners gain more confidence and enhance their motivation towards learning Arabic during this important phase
