"Medical emergencies during pregnancy" is an assay that presents some selected medical critical conditions which occur during pregnancy, can be affected and may affect it, and is essentially medically treated. The essay is divided into two parts; the first discusses symptoms and signs of major body systems failure and their general medical supportive care. The second discuses] thrombo-embolic disorders (DVT, PE, DIC), cerebrovascular accident, preeclampsia, hepatic dysfunction, DM, BA and hyperthyroid crises [ regarding their pathophysiology, pregnancy effects on them and their effect on the pregnant woman and her fetus, the suitability of the drgs used for the fetus, and recommendations for preventive measures.
