Abstract

Aim of the study: this study was to evaluate the fracture load of ceramic veneer materials (IPS e.max) with four different preparation designs (window, window with proximal extension, butt joint, wrap around). Material and methods: The purpose of this research is to study the effect of the preparation of the designs on the fracture resistance of ceramic veneers. Has been twenty of the upper central teeth extracted recently, and free from decay. Selected teeth designed to restore platelets were divided according to the design of several to: Group A: designed in the form of the window. Group B: the design of the form window with proximal extension. Group C: the design of the shape of the occluded categorically. Group D: design the shape of the occluded side lingual .Teeth were treated by 37% phosphoric acid for 30 seconds and the quality of the ceramic using hydrofluoric acid 9% after treatment with factor bond agent before pasting crust using ceramic adhesive resin cement named (Variolink Veneer). Was the use of a device designed specifically to peel cementation to ensure uniform thickness of the layer of cement.Been a strength test fracture phones using a testing machine Universal (speed 1 mm / medium a second), has been applied load from the direction of cutters angle of 135 degrees to the long axis on the lingual surface of each tooth was analysis in terms of the differences between the groups using a two-way (In nova) and tests Toki. The study results showed that the preparation of the design of the form of overlying boycotted the highest rate of the value of the fraction (283.8 Nm) followed by the preparation of the design of the form of the window with the extension of the proximal (277 Nm), followed by the preparation of the design of the form window (271.1 Nm), and showed the preparation of design overlying boycotted the lowest average value for the payload fraction statistically significant (252.6 Nm). Conclusion: Within limitation of this study, the following conclusions can be drawn: • Butt-joint preparation design for laminate veneers proved to be the design of choice . • The result of current study exhibited mean values ranging between 252.6 N and 283.8 N , which falls within the average masticatory forces, indicating their safe usage in the anterior region.
