Abstract

Endoscopic endonasal approaches provide access to resect more skull base lesions than pituitary adenomas, this study have been performed on 23 patients, for variety of pathological lesions. Neuronavigation was used in majority of cases. Gross total excision was achieved in 76% of pituitary adenomas (13 out of 17 cases), in 2 out of 3 cases of craniopharyngioma. Debulking was the aim in carcinoma & round cell tumor. No intraoperative complication occurred. Postoperative CSF leakage occurred in 8.6% and we had one case of mortality. This approach is an effective and safe method especially with the aid of neuronavigation
