Abstract
Coronary stenting is an effective treatment for patients with coronary artery disease. Instent restenosis remains the main limitation of coronary stenting. This prospective study was designed to test the hypothesis that ACE gene I/D & platelet GP IIIa polymorphism are associated with instent restenosis. The study showed that there was a significant correlation between the occurrence of instent restenosis and the presence of combined ACE DD & Platelet GP IIIa A2/2 genotypes.
