Abstract

In type2 Diabetes Mellitus, a degree of hyperglycemia is sufficient to cause pathologic and functional changes in various target tissues, including retinopathy, nephropathy, neuropathy and involvement of the musculoskeletal system. Musculoskeletal complications of diabetes are numerous. The hands are still an important target for diabetic complications and include cheiroarthropathy, flexor tenosynovitis, Dupuytrens disease, Carpal tunnel syndrome, etc. Ultrasonography is a non invasive new technique could be used in diagnosis and management of diabetic musculoskeletal disorders and to compare between both dominant and non-dominant hand.
