E-test is a new method for mycobacterial susceptibility testing with a newconceptfor minimal inhibitory concentrations (MICs) determinations forantimicrobial agents.- This study concluded good correlation between results of E-test and PMwhichsupports that E-test appears to be a good alternative method for testing thesusceptibilityof MTB to antituberculosis agents.E-test gives MICs values in a very simple, yet accurate way and were easilyread in 5 to 10 days .- This study demonstrated E-test efficacy with a second-line drug,Ciprofloxacin .- Drug combination testing of Ciprofloxacin with both isoniazid andrifampicin using E-testdetected synergistic activity .
