Abstract

Positron emission tomography (PET) and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) are promising tools that can be used in assessment of epileptic patient. They improve our understanding of the patho physiological changes in chronic epilepsy . They can be used in determination of patients who are suitable for surgical treatment as they help in identification of the lesion that give rise to epilepsy and also can be used in the pre operative assessment
