Abstract

The aim of this study was to compare between whole body MRI (WB-MRI) & skeletal scintigraphy in detection of skeletal metastases. Our study included 23 patients with pathologically proven 1ry malignant tumor, with known or suspected skeletal metastases. WB-MRI showed higher sensitivity, specificity & accuracy than BS. WB-MRI was better at the spine, pelvis and extremities, while BS was better at the ribs and skull.
