Toxoplasma gondii antibodies were detected serologically in 78patients with renal disease using ELISA technique. Patients wereclassified according to renal status; chronic renal failure not undergohaemodialysis group (19 cases), chronic renal failure undergohaemodialysis (30 cases), renal transplant recipient (29 cases),compared to 13 cases in control group. Seropositivity for anti-Toxoplasma IgG and IgM antibodies were 36.8% & 10.5% in renal failurepatients not undergo haemodialysis, 56.7% &16.7% in patients undergohaemodialysis and 69% &24.1% in renal transplant recipients versus23.1% & 0% in control group with statistical significant difference foranti-Toxoplasma IgG antibodies only.
