Abstract
Minimally invasive procedure in cardiac surgery is one that avoids either a median sternotomy or cardiopulmonary bypass or both. The advantages of these procedures include avoidance cardiopulmonary bypass effects ,shorter hospital stay and lower cost. These procedures enabled surgeons to perform coronary artery bypass grafting on a beating heart and to operate on cardiac valves through parasternal incisions or ministernotomies. This work includes presentation of some clinical cases operated using these procedures.
