Abstract

Transoesophageal cardiostimulation is a semi-invasive method ofstimulation of atrii enabling the performance of the programmed atrialstimulation without the inevitability of an invasive vascular approach.Transoesophageal atrial stimulation has proved to be a useful diagnostictool in the management of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia.Twenty seven pediatric patients underwent diagnostic & therapeuticprocedures using transesophageal pacing with fulfillment of 70% ofdiagnostic & 94% of therapeutic goals.
