Extensor tendon injury is a serious injury that has a strong impact on thefunctional capacity of the hand and that was often underestimated. Athorough study of the anatomy of the extensor system is included. Theexamination of the injured hand should be meticulous to detect any extensortendon injury. Extensor tendon lacerations management, the repair methodand the suture material are chosen according to the level of injury. Variousrehabilitation programs were also thoroughly analyzed in the study.
