Abstract

This study aimed at evaluation of the feasibility and accuracy of using myocardial contrast echocardiography in detecting RWMAs and perfusion defects against the standard technique of nuclear scintigraphy. This study was conducted on 40 pts with at recent MI at 1st comparing RWMAs using harmonic imaging to that adding contrast material and we found a significant correlation between the two methods. We also validated the use of MCE in detection of myocardial perfusion defects vs nuclear scintigraphy and an excellent correlation was found between the two methods.
