Abstract
This study aimed to evaluate serum ferritin in iron replacement therapy in haemodialysis patents. We found significant direct correlation between serum ferritin and CRP. Also no significant correlation between serum ferritin and other iron parameters in the CRP +ve group but there was a significant direct correlation in CRP -ve group. So high serum ferritin level doesn’t necessarily indicate increased iron stores where as low serum ferritin level is a reliable index of reduced iron stores.
