The aim of this work was to emphasize Versatility of the medial pedicle technique for reduction mammoplasty regarding: Aesthetic outcome, Functional outcome, Complications and revision rates, Long term results, and patient satisfaction, The review of literature included the following: •Descriptive anatomy of the female breast: This included embryology, rapid review on skin, parenchyma, fat content, fascia, blood supply, nerve supply, lymph drainage of the female breast, and NAC. •Morphologic anatomy of the female breast: This included breast contour, quadrants, segments, creases, height, base, size, and NAC. •Physiology of the female breast: Included phases of development of the breast and mechanism and control lactation. •The problem of hypertrophy and ptosis: Their definitions, pathophysiology, classifications, types, and effects. •Indications for reduction mammaplasty: The most frequent symptoms and patients profiles. •General principles of reduction mammaplasty: As regards the contents, the container, and the NAC. •The techniques of reduction mammaplasty: Historical background, classifications, techniques, advantages and disadvantages.
