Abstract

Hypospadias is a common congenital anomaly with an incidence of 1 per 125 to 1 per 300 live male birth. There are nearly 200 operations reported for it’s correction.Frequent modifications in technique are a constant reminder that the ultimate goal of a normal penis is elusive. This study was preformed on 40 cases of penile hypospadias 20 cases were repaired with snodgrass technique and 20 cases were repaired with onlay island flap technique. The study concluded that the snodgrass technique is an easy method, quicker with short hospital stay, low complications, low morbidity, and better cosmetic outcome than the onlay island flap procedures in treatment of penile hypospadias in our operated cases.
