Abstract
This is a retrospective study of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis in the last three years as regards age, sex distribute and clinical presentation. Out of 1138 thyroidectomy specimens 52 turned out to have Hashimoto's thyroiditis. This represents an incidence of 4.57%. The age ranged from 25 to 65 years. Forty nine cases were females while only 3 were males. Hashimoto's thyroiditis presented as multinodular goiter in 75.7% of cases, toxic goiter in 18.1% and as solitary thyroid nodule in 6% of cases in conclusion Hashimoto's thyroiditis is not uncommon disease should put it in mined to diagnose it.
