Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus remains one of the most challenging diseases for workers In the medical field not only it affects large sector of the population but its wide affection of different organs which promotes workers in the medical field to spend time and effort a trial to study the pathogenesis of affection of the different organs and the best way to prevent and treat its complicationsVascular complications of diabetes are still the major cause of morbidity and mortality 'of the disease. In our study we tried to study the major vascular complications in recently discovered type 2 diabetic patients, we saw that in our 54 patients with type 2 diabetes discovered lesser than one year the major part is (18.5%) they did the analysis because they have to do other treatments as tooth extractions, cholycyctomy or during hospitalizations after car accidents and the question remain for how many years the diabetes was there hidden within them without being aware of it, this as we mentioned in the discussion will agree with the study that in U.S population more than 5 millions have diabetes and do not know it.In this study we found that only 1.9% of these patients are normotensive. While 40.7% are pre hypertensive and 29.9% are hypertensive stage 1 and 31.5 are hypertensive stage 2. The hypertensive patients (stage 1 & 2) are under treatment with different drugs and when we asked them why they go to the doctors to measure their blood pressure and they did not do so for their diabetes, the common answer was because they had a very bad headache and they did not feel well as for diabetes they did not feel any thing and this simple answer will lead us to our conclusion which will be as a question (how many of our population carry the diabetic complications without knowing it ?).
