Abstract
The hypothesis: there's no difference in presence of domestic violence between general population and psychiatric patients. Domestic violence was assessed in a sample of 60 married females (40 psychiatric patients and 20 normal control). Results showed that 80% of patients group compared with 70% of control group were subjected to domestic violence with no significance between 2 groups (P > 0.05) conclusion psychiatric disorders don't make significant difference in occurrence of domestic violence.
