The liver is one of the most important vital organs in the body. It plays an important role in digestion, various metabolic transformations, and storage of many important substances.Among the different diseases that involve the liver, hepatic focal lesions represent an important category, which for long, have represented a real problem in diagnosis that require an extensive effort that does not go along with the need to provide immediate plane for treatment or surgery once the cause is discovered.Our emphasis in this work was to solve this problem relaying on the most recent discovery in this field.Until recently, liver examination by the tri-phasic CT or the MRI, all what could be accomplished is the detection of hepatic focal lesion with a large scale of differential diagnosis, but, to reach a final diagnosis additional steps are required such as taking a CT-guided biopsy or other investigations.
