Growth parameters as height and weight were significantly decreased in 66 children affected by intestinal parasites. Low serum zinc levels were found in 57.6% of cases versus 50% of control which suggests other factors causing deficiency of zinc apart from parasites as: Dietary factors and environmental pollutants. Platelets and staff neutrophils were significantly elevated in patients. Natural killer cells were lower than normal in 39.1% of cases and higher in 12.5% of them.
