The paper explores the new therapeutic interventions employed in thetreatment of heart diseases in the fetus. It was observed that certaincongenital heart diseases eg. hypoplastic left heart syndrome and pulmonaryatresia with intact ventricular septum, start as mere semilunar valve stenosisin the fetus. We shed a light on the world experience in fetal cardiaccatheterization for semilunar valve dilatation to arrest the progression ofthese heart defects.
