The aim of the work was to evaluate original sex therapy, the use of drug treatment alone and combination of both i.e. contemporary sex therapy, in psychogenic erectile dysfunction (ED 30 patients: subdivided into 3 subgroups: 10 cases were managed by Sex therapy alone, 10 cases managed by Sex therapy plus Sildenafil Citrate (or ICI) and 10 cases managed by Sildenafil Citrate (or ICI) and premature ejaculation (PE).30 patients: subdivided into 3 subgroups: 10 cases were managed by Sex therapy alone(stop-start), 10 cases managed by Sex therapy plusSertraline and 10 cases managed by Sertraline). Full history, general, local examination, Urine analysis, random blood sugar, EPS was done for both groups. For cases of ED group: ICI test, the international index of erectile function (IIEF) fulfilled before and after treatment. The results were as follow:ED group: There were no significant differences between the age, duration of marriage and educational level (P> 0.05) of patients and their partners. By comparing means of IIEF1 (before treatment) and IIEF2 (after treatment) in all subgroups, there was statistically significant difference in between all subgroups before and after treatment; P-value was< 0.0001.PE group: There were no significant differences between the age, duration of marriage and educational level (P> 0.05) of patients and their partners.By comparing means of number of thrusts before treatment (Th 1) &number of thrusts after treatment (Th 2), there was statistically significant difference in between all subgroups before and after treatment; P-value < 0.0001 .From the results of our study, we conclude that all modalities of therapy for Psychogenic ED gave more or less the same results, while in treatment of PE combined treatment with SSRI’s (Sertraline) and Sextherapy (stop-start) showed the best results.
