Abstract

The posterior cruciate ligament is primary restraint against posterior displacement of true tibia in the femur. PCL injuries more common among athletes, the commonest mechanism of injury is directed trauma to the front of the upper flexed tibia posterior drawer test is the specific one for PCL injury and MRI is the specific investigation treatment of PCL injury is controversial , nonoperative treatment for isolated tears, but reconstruction is better for PCL injury associated with another.
