Abstract

Current nutrional support for premature infants does not prevent extra uterine growth restriction which is the most important problem for them, breast milk is the best food for preterm who tolerate enteral feeding. KMC, has many positive effects to the preterm infants and simply done by holding the baby close to the chest. There is evidence that accurate calculation of nutrional requirements and early administration of intravenous amino acids, intralipids minimal enteral nutrition as well as human milk and supplementary formula can result in optimal growth.
